3 Easy Steps to Activate Your eSIM.

eSIMs make staying connected easier than ever. You can purchase, install and manage profiles directly from your SmartPhone. This eliminates the need to visit a mobile store or swap physical SIM cards to access service.

Step 1: Check If Your Device Supports eSIM.

  1. Open the Settings app: Launch the Settings application on your iPhone.

  1. Dial *#06#: Open the dialer app on your Android device and enter *#06#, then press the call button.
  2. Check for eSIM compatibility: If your device is eSIM-compatible, you will see your device’s eSIM unique identification number (EID) displayed.

Step 3: Activate Your eSIM.

Option 1:
Scan the QR code.

  1. Open the Camera app: Use your iPhone’s Camera app to scan your QR code from another device’s screen or a printout.
    Add eSIM: When the “Cellular Plan Detected” notification appears, tap “Add eSIM.”
  2. For iOS 17.4 or later: If you’re using an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later and have the QR code on the device, touch and hold the QR code, then tap “Add eSIM.”
  3. Tap Continue: At the bottom of the screen, tap “Continue.”
  4. Add Cellular Plan: Tap “Add Cellular Plan.”

Option 2:
Enter the eSIM information manually.

The order confirmation email includes the eSIM details for manual activation.

  1. Go to Settings: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Cellular or Mobile Data: Select “Cellular” or “Mobile Data” from the menu.
  3. Tap Add Data Plan or Add eSIM.
  4. Tap (Use QR Code): At the bottom of the screen, tap “Enter Details Manually.”
  5. Copy and Paste the Codes.
    Enter your SM-DP+ Address and activation code by copying and pasting them into the appropriate fields.

  5. Scan QR Code: Scan your QR code and add the confirmation code if prompted.
  6. Install eSIM: Return to the “Install eSIM/Access Data” screen.
  7. Turn on eSIM: Enable eSIM under “Mobile Network.”
  8. Enable Mobile Data: Turn on “Mobile Data.”
  9. Enable Data Roaming: Turn on “Data Roaming.” (Turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges when overseas.)
  10. Set Network Preferences: Go to “Network & Internet” and tap “Mobile Network” to set the correct network preferences listed in the “Additional Info” section.
  11. Set up APN: Set up an APN (Access Point Name) on your device if required.

Option 2:
Enter the eSIM information manually.

  1. Go to Settings: Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap Network & Internet: Select “Network & Internet.”
  3. Add Mobile Network: Tap the Add or + icon next to “Mobile Network.”
  4. Tap Next: When asked, β€œDon’t have a SIM card?” tap “Next.”
  5. Enter Code Manually: Tap “Enter Code Manually.” Copy and paste the “SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code” from the confirmation email.
  6. Turn on eSIM: Enable eSIM under “Mobile Network.”
  7. Enable Mobile Data: Turn on “Mobile Data.”
  8. Enable Data Roaming: Turn on “Data Roaming.” (Turn off your primary line to avoid roaming charges when overseas.)

Add eSIM Manually Samsung Android

  1. Go to Settings – Connections – SIM Card Manager – Add a Mobile Plan.
  2. Select Scan Carrier QR code and then tap Enter activation code instead.
  3. Enter your activation code by copying and pasting it into the appropriate field.
  4. Tap Connect – Add and use it now.

Add eSIM Manually on Google Android

To activate eSIM on Google Android, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings – Network & Internet – Tap the + icon next to Mobile Network.
  2. Tap on Download a SIM instead – Next and tap Need help?.
  3. Tap on Enter Data Manually.
  4. Enter your activation code by copying and pasting it into the appropriate field.
